Another rest day yesterday, going to try a gentle swim today, cold water should help. Getting through days mostly cautiously pain free, bedtime sucks, but I can get comfortable and sleep so that's good. Definitely a muscle spasm thing on one side, getting better, alternating heat, cold and gentle massage. Focus on gentle movement, there is no power through option.

Not moving much sucks. Work is still intense and I'm faltering somewhat more than usual which bothers me, but all I can do is pull through. I'm going to rearrange my life a little and get some help at my house so I can help mom more myself and keep an eye on things. Aging sucks on all sides. Not depressed, but getting a better understanding that some things are inevitable no matter who you are or how well you think you've prepared.

Edit: I'd like to thank FS for the warning that I'm gaining weight at a rapid pace today. Icing on the cake.

Note to self: turned pool down 10 notches and this is really only day 5 so chill. Tried to swim, too hard, too much uncontrolled movement. Taking dogs for long, slow walk instead. Did some slow movement water aerobics.

Did the long walk tonight, exhausted, but got the blood flowing through my veins. Circulation is good for healing.

It will get better. I had a hip injury Jan. 2015 and thought I’d never do another squat or lunge the rest of my life. Not joking, the thought of either made me cringe. Don’t believe the lies in your head. Or on fs. Sending hope, healing and love to you ms. Katsolo ❤️❤️

thank you, wifey, if you haven't figured it out, one of my least well-exercised muscles is patience. I'm trying very hard. I know it will get better and I'm thankful that I'm as mobile as I am.
